Pamper Yourself With A Custom Spa!
A custom spa is a personal, inground spa built to your specifications. You get to choose the size, shape, and features. You can choose the location on your property. One of the great things about custom spas is that we can design them to fit any budget. Whether you’re looking for a simple, no-frills spa or a luxurious oasis complete with all the bells and whistles, there’s a custom spa solution for you.
Custom Spa Layouts
When it comes to custom spas, there are two main layouts to choose from: the inground and the above-ground layout. An inground spa is a spa that is installed into the ground, typically in a backyard or patio area. This type of spa has a more natural look and feel, and we can customize them with features like waterfalls, fountains, and landscaping.
Above-ground spas are installed above the ground, usually on a deck or patio. Above-ground spas are typically less expensive than inground spas, and they offer more flexibility in terms of placement. However, above-ground spas can be more tedious to maintain, and they may not have as many customization options.
Construction Process
Once you’ve planned out the details of your custom spa, it’s time to start the construction process. The construction process can vary depending on the spa design and spa features you want to install. Building an in-ground spa requires extended site preparation and excavation compared to above-ground spas.
Contractors may use manual or machine excavation depending on the size of the area. After excavating the area, the electrical and plumbing systems are installed carefully. Above-ground spas are less complex to install, as they don’t require any excavation. Unlike in-ground spas, plumbing and electrical system installation are fast and less challenging.
Once the plumbing and electrical systems are in place, installing the spa shell is time. This process typically involves assembling the spa shell with the help of some friends or family members.
After the spa shell is in place, it’s time to install the jets, filters, and other accessories. Most of this work can be done by the average homeowner, although some specialized tools may be required. After completing the construction phase, it’s time to add the water and enjoy your new custom spa!
Spa Features
When you’re planning the construction of your custom spa, there are a few key features to keep in mind. The look, feel, and functionality depends on the spa features you want. Maintenance also plays a key factor. Here are some features to consider for your custom spa:
The space on your property determines the size of your custom spa. The size of your land property will also determine how many people can fit on your custom spa.
Spas come in a variety of shapes, from rectangular to free-form. Your personal preferences and the available space will help determine the perfect form for your custom spa.
The depth of your spa will determine how deep the water is and how many people can fit inside. Shallow spas are typically 3 to 4 feet deep, while deeper spas can reach 6 feet deep.
The number of jets in your spa will determine how many massage options are available. Most spas have between 8 and 12 jets.
The type of water filtration system your spa has will affect the frequency when it is time for you to clean your spa. Cartridge filters, sand filters, and diatomaceous earth (DE) filters are water filter systems that you can use in your spa.
One of the best ways to enhance the look and feel of your spa is to add some ambient lighting. Spa lighting can range from simple LED lights to elaborate waterfalls that light up in different colors.
The location of your spa will also play a role in its look and feel. If you want your spa hidden from view, consider installing it in a secluded area of your property. If you want it to be the focal point of your backyard, choose a more visible location.
